To be eligible for the WA Solar Battery Scheme, homeowners must meet the following criteria:
1. Be the owner-occupier of a residential property in Western Australia.
2. Have an existing Solar PV system installed on their property.
3. Have a combined household income of less than $180,000 per year.
4. Use at least 6,000 kWh of electricity per year.
5. Have a battery system installed by a Clean Energy Council accredited installer.
Homeowners interested in applying for the grant can do so through the WA Government’s website. The grant is available on a first-come, first-served basis, so it is recommended to apply as soon as possible. The grant can help offset the cost of purchasing and installing a Solar battery system, making it more affordable for homeowners to invest in renewable energy and reduce their electricity bills.
