The Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES) is a national scheme that provides financial incentives for households and businesses to install small-scale renewable energy systems, such as Solar panels. The scheme works by creating a market for small-scale renewable energy certificates (STCs), which are generated based on the amount of renewable energy produced by the system. These certificates can then be sold to electricity retailers to help offset the upfront cost of installing the system.

The Victorian Solar Homes Program is a state-based Rebate program that provides financial incentives for households to install Solar panels and Solar hot water systems. The program offers rebates for up to 50% of the cost of a Solar panel system, up to a maximum Rebate amount. The program aims to increase the uptake of Solar energy in Victoria and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Both of these Rebate programs can help reduce the upfront cost of installing a Solar energy system, making it more affordable for households and businesses to transition to clean, renewable energy sources.
