1. Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES): This scheme provides financial incentives for households and businesses to install small-scale renewable energy systems such as Solar panels, wind turbines, and Solar hot water systems. The SRES provides rebates in the form of Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs), which can be sold or traded on the open market to help reduce the upfront cost of installing renewable energy systems.

2. Large-scale Renewable Energy Target (LRET): This scheme aims to increase the amount of renewable energy generated in Australia by incentivizing the development of large-scale renewable energy projects such as Solar farms, wind farms, and hydroelectric power stations. Under the LRET, renewable energy power stations are eligible to create Large-scale Generation Certificates (LGCs), which can be sold to electricity retailers to help meet their renewable energy targets. This provides a financial incentive for investment in large-scale renewable energy projects.
