Once your Solar system is installed, you can create and sell your STCs to entities called liable entities, such as electricity retailers, who are required by law to purchase a certain number of STCs each year.

The value of STCs can fluctuate depending on market demand and supply. As the market for STCs is driven by the demand for renewable energy, the value of STCs tends to decrease over time as more Solar systems are installed and more STCs are created.
