Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES): This rebate is available to residential and small-scale commercial solar installations with a capacity of up to 100 kilowatts. The SRES provides a financial incentive in the form of Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs), which are created based on the amount of renewable energy the system is expected to produce over its lifetime. These STCs can be sold to offset the cost of the solar system.

The amount of STCs a system is eligible for is determined by factors such as the location of the installation, the size of the system, and the amount of renewable energy it is expected to generate. The Rebate amount can vary depending on these factors, as well as the current market price of STCs.

To be eligible for the SRES Rebate, the Solar system must be installed by a Clean Energy Council-accredited installer and meet all relevant Australian standards and guidelines. The Rebate is only available for systems that have not already received government funding or rebates.

The SRES Rebate provides financial support to help offset the upfront costs of installing a Solar system, making renewable energy more accessible and affordable for residential and small-scale commercial customers. By reducing the cost of Solar installations, the SRES aims to encourage more people to adopt renewable energy and reduce their reliance on fossil fuels.
