These rebates are designed to help reduce energy costs for low-income households and make Solar energy more accessible to those who may not be able to afford it otherwise.

In New South Wales, the Low Income Household Solar Rebate provides eligible households with a discount of up to $2,600 on the cost of a Solar PV system. This Rebate is available to households with a valid Pensioner Concession Card or Department of Veterans’ Affairs Gold Card.

In Victoria, the Solar Homes Program provides a Rebate of up to $1,850 for eligible low-income households to install a Solar PV system. This program is available to households with a combined annual household income of less than $180,000.

These rebates can help low-income households save money on their energy bills, reduce their carbon footprint, and contribute to the transition to renewable energy. By making Solar energy more affordable and accessible, these programs are helping to ensure that everyone can benefit from the advantages of Solar power.
